Saibaan Development Organization is a non-profit humanitarian and development organization; registered under Societies Act 1860 on 5th June, 2000, working for betterment of marginalized communities since its inception in 1999. The Board is looking for a high caliber professional with demonstrable record of successfully leading an organization or a division of large size and complexity with considerable skill and experience and also motivated to make a positive difference in social sector. ED shall be directly accountable to the Board of Directors for providing operational leadership and operational direction to the organization. The ED works under the direct supervision and direction of the Board and in accordance with Saibaan’s strategic plan, policies and bylaws that may be amended from time to time. Board Administration and Support The ED shall assist the Board with discharge of its corporate governance responsibilities by assisting the Board in developing a vision and strategic plan to guide the organization and assuming overall management responsibility, as delegated by the Board, for Saibaan’s operations. Operational planning and management • Develop based on the Board’s strategic direction organizational plans to meet the needs of stakeholders of the organization. • Oversee the planning, design, marketing, delivery, quality, implementation and evaluation of programs and services of the organization. • Ensure that the programs and services offered by the organization contribute to the organization’s mission and reflect the priorities of the Board and meet the expectations and requirements of its stakeholders including its Clients, Board and Funders.  Master’s degree in Development Studies/Administrative Sciences/Management Sciences or equivalent qualification.  A strong understanding of Project management  Demonstrated knowledge and experience with respect to the labour movement.  Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with vulnerable workers and communities  Extensive experience working in a non-profit environment.  Strong strategic and organizational skills.  Negotiation Skills  Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.  Strong financial skills used in developing budgets, funding proposals and managing daily accounts.  Ability to work flexible hours as required on an occasional basis.
