JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Project Manager – 1 position Duty Station: Bahawalpur Reporting Line: Provincial Manager – Punjab Salary: Up to PKR.100, 000/- Per Month (depend upon skills and experience) Project Duration: 12 Months Experience: M. Phil in Development Studies/ Master in Social Sciences/ MBA/ Equivalent Degree with experience of WASH Project Management Staff Supervision: The position will supervise a large team of WASH CLTS Project Key Expectations: The position is expected to implement the WASH/ CLTS approach project in a timely & successful manner and as per the guidelines and requirements shared in the PCA, Budget and LFA etc. Summary of Major Responsibilities: Following is the summary of major responsibilities: Provide Guidance and Support to Staff in Supervision Ensure Timely Development of Project Plans Ensure Timely Development and Submission of Project Reports Review & Monitoring of Project Activities Ensure Project Coordination, Networking and Visibility at District Level Handling of Beneficiary & Stakeholders Complaints Smooth & Successful Implementation of WASH Project Emphasize smooth implementation of organizational policies and Code of Conducts in respective project activities Develop success stories Develop Beneficiary Satisfaction Reports Ensure regular visits to field (Highlight issues and ability to resolve at their if any) Ensure Implementation according to Work Plan Provide Guidance and Support to Staff in Supervision Properly orient the project staff about overall objectives and activities of the project Review team work plans Review team reports and give feedback Provide field level guidance and facilitation to the team member Arrange events / activities for the capacity building of project staff Conduct weekly & monthly project review meeting with staff Ensure proper filing & documentation of project related activities Deal with the issues/matter discussed with team during reviews General Responsibilities: To maintain constructive, purposeful, trust based and sincere relations with all colleagues working above or under whether directly or indirectly associated. To participate in all meetings, committees, forums, projects and assignments as required and expected. To provide feedback to colleagues subordinates and higher ups this can potentially improve their effectiveness and contribution. To coordinate with program team in achieving their targets and effectively and efficiently implementation of projects in project area. Supervision & Monitoring Closely supervise & document the work of other team members, identify gaps & Propose actions required. Ensure that activities are being carried out as per plan submitted by management. Maintain the quality of services and transparency in all respects. Review and manage project finances including budgets (Project budgets). Analyze project-related developments from time-to-time and provide timely inputs to Provincial Coordinator informed decision-making. Management & Administration Overall management of the activities of WASH in coordination with Projects team by maintaining the flow of services. Observe the transparency and accountability procedures while dealing in all respects and especially in financial matters. Ensure & maintain the work place decorum and enabling cooperative work environment for the team members. Ensure and maintain confidentiality at all levels. Ensure that district coordinators are maintaining all the administrative records related to the project field activities updated and in order. To organize meetings of staff for planning and review of departmental functions. To develop procedures and systems to enable check and balance, planning and controlling of activities with respect of job assignments. Project Monitoring Monitor project activities regularly Optimize the use of human, logistical, and financial resources Ensure to develop proper financial management of the project finances Ensure proper projection of the project activities through print & media Ensure timely completion of activities Identify core needs required by the project for effective delivery of the agreed deliverables in coordination with the other units. Participate in project development activities, with the aim of developing a common understanding about project outcomes, activities, outputs, resources and methodology. Develop close working relationships with project participants and stakeholders in order to establish a shared vision and achieve project objectives. Project Reporting Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports and submit within due dates Understand and comply with operational policies manual of the organization. Supervise the preparation of project(s) budgets and utilization of approved finances; ensure that expenses are incurred in an efficient manner. Be responsible for quality delivery of all intermediate and final outputs of project(s)
